[00:00:01] Today we're going to dive into the number one spiritual practice. There's so many spiritual practices. [00:00:09] You know, there's endless books and courses and podcasts and all kinds of things, and it's almost infinite. [00:00:21] But what is the thing, the number one thing that actually makes the biggest difference to us, the most powerful practice that we can do? [00:00:31] There are lots of things that you can do to make you feel better. And if something's working for you, I highly encourage you, keep it up. [00:00:39] And out of all the things, ultimately the thing that makes the biggest difference is where we direct our attention. [00:00:53] What are we focusing on? [00:00:56] Because whatever we focus upon, if we focus on negative things, we absorb that negativity into ourselves. [00:01:06] If we focus on positive things, we absorb that energy. [00:01:12] So ultimately, the quality of our experience in life comes down to our focus. [00:01:20] Another way of saying focus is yoga. The original meaning of the word yoga has nothing to do with asanas and different, you know, practices, downward dog and all these different things. Sun salutations. That's just one way of understanding yoga. The real meaning of the word yoga is union, or to connect with something. [00:01:47] So the yoga of our intellect or the yoga of our attention is that which we are focusing upon. [00:02:00] This is why people who focus upon negative things and have yoga with negative things tend to feel miserable and attract the very thing that they dislike. [00:02:17] If someone's always complaining, I don't like this, I don't like that. What about this? Why did this happen? They end up stuck in that situation for years and years. [00:02:26] Whereas if we focus on the highest things that we wish, we tend to be pulled into that experience. [00:02:38] And so, out of all the things that we could focus upon, what is the highest thing of all? What is the highest thing we can focus on? What is the thing that, if we focus on, that is going to have the greatest positive impact on our being? [00:03:00] We can think about anything we want, right? We can focus on, have yoga, on anything. [00:03:06] People, animals, nature, the sky, right? Clothes, musical instruments, anything. Right? [00:03:14] Out of everything, what is the highest thing? [00:03:18] The most powerful thing of all is the Source, the Creator, the one who is the ocean of bliss and love and peace. [00:03:35] The being who has nothing but good vibrations and is extremely powerful. [00:03:45] Because whatever we focus on, we absorb into ourselves. [00:03:51] And so the being who has the most good energy, by focusing our attention on that being, on the ocean of bliss, the divine spiritual sun, the purifying, vibrational highest of all souls, that is going to pull us into a higher experience. [00:04:27] So if we have various challenges and problems and worries, in our life. The most effective solution is to first of all remember that we are spiritual beings ourselves, which is having yoga with our own original state. [00:04:46] So we come into the feeling that I am a witness or an observer guest in this body and in this world, coming back to our original identity. [00:05:02] And then from that feeling of freedom and self awareness, we then can connect with the highest of all beings, the one who is the blissful one, the most loving, the most joyful, liberated, constantly safe and relaxed. [00:05:28] Blessings, blessings all around, all the time. [00:05:33] And so then we get pulled into that frequency of purity and light and freedom and joy, an infinite peace. [00:05:46] And from that feeling, everything else becomes bathed in that energy and we feel safe and relaxed. [00:06:02] So that whatever challenges or issues we have, we see them in the proper context, from a space of freedom, rather than from a place of being a victim. [00:06:17] And at the mercy. We now realize we are co creators of this great game and we are in a state of freedom. [00:06:29] And so this is the highest and most powerful practice because we are tapping into the one with all powers, with all good vibrations, without any negativity, without any limits, with no end and no beginning, eternal and immortal and infinite. [00:07:01] So you can't get more than infinite, eternal, immortal, never ending, unlimited, right? [00:07:09] Everything else, there's lots of things that are positive, but they're limited, right? People can be very nice, but they can also be a problem. [00:07:16] They can die, they can have a bad day. [00:07:22] Nature's constantly changing and moving around. This is a permanent, constant, unchanging, reliable energy. [00:07:34] And so that's why considering yourself to be a soul spiritual being and then connecting with the source of all good vibrations, the one, the Divine, the blissful one, is the best focus, the best use of our focusing power that we have and is the solution ultimately to all of our problems and is the way out of negative feelings. And so we can just be merged in that wonderful feeling and that peace, in that light, we can also give blessings and connect to other things that bring us joy as well. [00:08:21] Just keep coming back to the this main thing, which is unique, one of a kind, and has a special effect on us that can't be compared to anything else.
