[00:00:00] Speaker A: Do you ever feel you're worrying about things that just keep coming up again and again and again? Whether it's a health problem or a money problem, relationship, your work, something just keeps going. What if this goes wrong? What if this goes wrong? What if this doesn't work out? What if this falls apart? Because we live in a crazy world where lots of unexpected things are happening all the time and the pace of change is accelerating. And so it's quite normal to have all these worries. Problem is that it can dominate our life, it can dominate our mind, it can make us feel continuously disturbed. We can be worrying about things that don't actually go wrong, but it ruins our life now. And so if you're really dealing with so many worries that it's stressing you out and you want to know how to deal with it, that's what we are diving into in this episode. We're going to be getting into what worry is about, why we worry. And you've got to learn a practical, proven method to hand your worries over to God, to let them go in a genuine way so that you're no longer holding on to those things so you can finally relax and let go. So, welcome, welcome, welcome. Yay. I'm here with our lovely sister, Shirin. Between us, we've been doing meditation for almost. We have 60 years experience between us, just about which is quite remarkable. So we're going to share some of the insights that we've gained over these many, many years. Welcome, Shirin. Good to see you. [00:01:38] Speaker B: Hello, Michael. [00:01:42] Speaker A: So why do we worry? Why don't we start there and then we'll tell a story, a little story about it? But, Shirin, this is something that wanted to discuss, like, why do you feel we worry at all? What's behind the worry? [00:01:55] Speaker B: I feel that, you know, there's an issue with asking people not to worry because it's like saying, hey, you know, don't do something that they're used to doing. Right. And I feel that the main reason. I feel the main reason is not because something like. Not because danger. You know, people don't worry because there's danger around the corner. I feel people worry because there's uncertainty and they don't like uncertainty. And I think that's the main reason why people worry is you don't like uncertainty, don't like being in limbo about something. [00:02:52] Speaker A: Yeah, it's an open loop. It's an open loop. You're not sure how is it going to turn out, and there's no way of controlling it because it's the future. It hasn't happened yet. So the mind's like, well, what about this? What about this? What's going to happen? [00:03:07] Speaker B: Right. You know, most people think that anxiety comes from. Anxiety comes from really facing dangerous things. But actually anxiety, most anxiety comes from uncertainty. Right. We are addicted to certainty. I think the mind is addicted to certainty and you just have to allow yourself to be in uncertainty. Right. You have to just. It's almost like a skill you have to learn because you're addicted to certainty. [00:03:50] Speaker A: Yeah. And we can't be certain about lots of things specifically because it hasn't happened yet. [00:03:57] Speaker B: We can't be certain about anything. Right. There's nothing certain. You know, and this is something I've been telling people that the warranty on what we call the drama of life. Right. The warranty on the drama is over. I remember when I got an electric toothbrush, this was many years ago, and they gave me a one year warranty on the toothbrush. And I think in the month 13 or something, the toothbrush broke. Right. It wouldn't work. So I went back to the manufacturer and said, hey, this broke. And they said, no, it broke because it's only one year and we are not going to look at it. The warranty is over. We are not going to look at it. And so I was like, that's interesting. They actually design the toothbrush so that it breaks so that you can actually go buy another one. It's called planned obsolescence. Right. And so I feel in situations also in life, you can't be certain about anything because the warranty on it is over. Anything can happen anytime. You shouldn't be surprised. Anything can happen anytime. [00:05:21] Speaker A: I'm sure that's going to make everyone relax, isn't it? No need to worry because anything can happen at any time. But it's true. [00:05:26] Speaker B: No, but it is true. Right. One thing is, it shouldn't surprise you. [00:05:34] Speaker A: Yeah. We, I mean, we just, we're living in a world where bizarre things seem to happen quite frequently and they're going to get more like that. So. [00:05:42] Speaker B: Because the warranty is over. [00:05:44] Speaker A: Yeah. And yeah, it's a very interesting situation. So we, we have to learn how to manage uncertainty in some way because otherwise worry will just constantly be there. You know, if our idea is that I can stop worrying finally when everything certain. That's not a good strategy because we can't be certain that everything we think about is going to happen exactly the way we think. [00:06:07] Speaker B: Yeah. Actually I'm going a step further and saying nothing is certain anymore. If it worked 10 years ago, it's not going to work now. There's nothing certain anymore. Nothing. You know, like if. If there's a planned obsolescence in a product. Right. If there's a planned obsolescence in the product where they plan it intentionally, that it breaks within in the 13th month or the 14th month so that you actually go by the toothbrush and they won't break it so that you in the 11th month, because then they will have to honor the warranty. What happens is the, the toothbrush could work for another two years, or it might not work for another two. It might not work for another month. Right. The warranty is over. On life, warranty is over. And we have to embrace this uncertainty. Uncertainty. You have to learn to sit in it. Right. It's like any other addiction. Like, we are addicted to some things and it's like any other addiction. [00:07:22] Speaker A: Yeah. We have to transfer our certainty to spiritual things, which we can be certain about. That's the upgrade here. Because we can't be certain about physical things because we're living in. The bottom line is it's a changing universe. So if you zoom out and look at the universe itself, the universe is moving around and weird things are happening on a very large scale. And then we're living inside of that world. So everything's changing here as well. So we can be certain that things will change. And from a spiritual perspective, we can be certain that we are spiritual beings, which means that we're safe, so that these are deeper certainties. But we can't be certain that the house we live in is going to be the same one we live in forever and ever. And that. That the environment is going to be the same. Like recently we had a bunch of fires here, Huge fires. You know, it was like 27,000 acres of fires just right up there, you know, and all the trails are even now shut. So I'm thinking, oh, I can go on walks and go to these places, all shut. You know, I mean, there's police cars. So we just don't know what's going to happen in many, many areas of our life. And even the body, you know, it's doing well now, but it might not do well and it might get better. So, yeah, we have to have a bigger perspective on the fact that we are living in a uncertain reality and technology is changing. I mean, on any level, things are all over the place. So this is a big deal. I'll share a quick story. And then what we're going to do is we're going to come up with some method. We have a method we're going to share with you that you can use and do a meditation on how to surrender your worries now that we understand that we live in an uncertain reality. I remember many years ago, I was in a situation where I wasn't sure if I could pay my rent, which is a very disturbing situation to be in. So I was. I had got this house that was a lot more rent than I was used to, and I hadn't got the money basically, to pay it one month. I think I managed to pay the last month, and then there was no money and rent was coming up. And I was thinking, well, this is very disturbing because I had my whole life ahead of me, and I wanted to do all these things and, like, having to figure out where to live or be kicked out of the house or live somewhere else, be homeless. Basically, that was the situation I was in. I was living in Hawaii, so at least the weather was good. So I remember I went to the beach. [00:10:07] Speaker B: You could totally put a rent on the beach, a tent on the beach. [00:10:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I went. So I went to the. I mean, so. I mean, if it was, you know, Alaska in the winter would be much more severe situation. But. But still, losing your house in any situation is disturbing. So I went to the beach to just to, like, try and get my head right around this whole situation. And I was thinking, what can I do? I've tried to do this to get money, and I tried to do this and I tried to do this, and nothing was happening. And I needed to pay my rent in three days. So I went to the beach and I remembered just very, very sincerely getting to the point in myself where I said, there's nothing I can do at this point. Accept surrender and let go and give my burden to God. Because I've tried everything I can. I've taken action here, taken action here, taken action here. If there's any ideas, I'm up for it. And I got to the point where I had to say to myself, I am surrendered to the highest good for all. Like, if I'm supposed to be kicked out of my house, there must be some deeper benefit to that. You know, there has to be some reason for it, and I'm okay with that. I'll be safe because I'm a spiritual being and everything will work out somehow. And there's nothing I can do. And so I sat on the beach and I had these sorts of thoughts for a while, and I was still feeling anxious. In my being, my heart and my mind. And I just kept letting go, letting go. Give it to God. Here's this problem. Give it to God. Give it to God. Just let it go. Let it go. I'm surrendering, surrendering, surrendering, surrendering. I did this for, I think about two hours or something. I just, just did it again and again and again and again and again. Finally I came to the place where I honestly didn't care anymore and I didn't feel anxious. It was like, whatever's going to happen is going to happen and I'm going to be okay. And if I have to let go of the house and if I have to do something else, I've like mentally moved on. Like I'm not attached. I'm not trying to hold on to something that I can't control. I just totally let go. And I had such profound peace because I was like, it's a huge freedom actually to get to that point where I'm not saying it should be like this and it should be like this. I'm like, I don't know, what if it's supposed to happen, it's fine. And I was, ah, such a deep, deep relaxation. And then I walked up the mountain to get to the beach. So the beach was on this cliff. And I came home and I slept really well that night and, and I said, okay, well, I don't know what to do. I mean if nothing comes of it, then I'll just have to tell the people that I'm gonna leave or see what they say. [00:12:55] Speaker B: Not very happy, I'm sure. [00:12:57] Speaker A: And I was just, I mean I was just like, well, what can I do? [00:13:00] Speaker B: And. [00:13:00] Speaker A: But I didn't feel emotionally disturbed about it anymore. The next day, somehow, I have no idea, I can't remember how this happened. Somehow the exact amount of money I need was sent to me. Like it just appeared. Someone bought something or something happened, I can't remember what it was and literally the exact amount of money. And I had to transfer that money in some faster way than normal, get it out in cash, drive down to the place where I had to pay rent and hand, I think it was late by like two days, hand it to them in cash. So I literally like right on the last moment for something bad would have happened. The money came, thank goodness. And that gave me two very, very valuable lessons. First of all that I can let go and I can be surrendered to the highest good and I can trust. And I know the main lesson I got was the feeling of deep, deep peace that I felt actually that was such a profound experience. But the second lesson was I need to get it together and sort out my money situation. You know, this is. This needs to be dealt with. I can't be living on the edge like this anymore. Right. And I haven't had that situation since then, thank goodness. And so these things really, really work. And I would genuinely was open to the fact if I wasn't supposed to work out, I'll do something else. So because it had to come to that, that deeper realization, it feels to me like many times I've had to completely release it and only then does something shift. It has to be on the. On the deepest level. So there's no. No more clinging, no more desiring, no more stressing about it. [00:14:45] Speaker B: That's a beautiful story. There is a little danger, though, when we surrender, right? Like what you just did, you really surrendered. I feel that surrender shouldn't be used as a strategy because. [00:15:17] Speaker A: The. [00:15:19] Speaker B: What I loved about the story is the letting go right in the last moment. If you didn't get the money also, you would be fine. It wasn't a strategy to get more money now. [00:15:32] Speaker A: If it had been a strategy, it wouldn't have worked. It's like they can't be used. I'm going to let go so that I get the thing I want, because then it doesn't work. [00:15:40] Speaker B: It has to be absolutely. [00:15:42] Speaker A: I'm letting go because there's nothing I can do. And this is. I'm genuinely surrendering it to God. And I'm. And the key phrase is I'm surrendered to the highest good for all. And that means that I want to do God's will and be of service and whatever life is showing me, I'm going to go in that direction, even if it's not what I want, because I wanted to stay in the house. But if life has a bigger purpose or God has a bigger purpose. [00:16:10] Speaker B: How could you, Michael? You wanted a roof over your head. [00:16:13] Speaker A: I wanted a roof. But if. If I'm supposed. I already thought, if I'm supposed to sleep on the beach, then fair enough. I mean, generally fair enough. [00:16:25] Speaker B: Absolutely. I was just joking about, like, oh, you wanted a roof over your head. Unreasonable thing to think about. Unreasonable. [00:16:33] Speaker A: Such a greedy person. How dare him? He wants somewhere to sleep, a shower, to have some clothes, a bit of food. Oh, dear, oh dear. The. The. The unreasonableness of life. [00:16:46] Speaker B: Yeah, right. [00:16:48] Speaker A: But that's a good point, though. If you can't. This can't be like, oh, I'm gonna let go. So I Get everything I want. Because it doesn't work that way. [00:16:55] Speaker B: Yeah. There's some other thing. Holding on. Right. The other thing I wanted to talk to you about is, is control. There is a lot of research on illusion of control. And of course there's a lot of research. And of course I'm a geek, right. I mean, I'm a self, you know, confessed. I confessed to it. I don't know what that is called. I confess to being a geek. So there's a lot of research on this, the research on illusion, Illusion of control. Right. I love, I love this research on illusion of control. The illusion of control is that you think everyone thinks that they have more control than they actually do. That's what the research shows, is you constantly, your prediction of how much control you have over a situation or an outcome is a lot more than you think you have. And it's not as much as you think you have. Right. And sometimes by chance things click into place. But now things are moving differently in the world. And that's what I feel I want to share with people is things are moving differently in the world, things are going differently and you actually don't have as much control. And by chance, because it was not a strategy, Michael got enough money to pay the rent. But in your life in a similar situation, you might not get it right. But that's not what we need to hold on to. We need to hold on to more spiritual things in our life because that's the only stable thing that is going to be there in our lives now. And it's a very important thing we have to understand because of the season we are in. Right. In every season of life and even the whole drama of life, the whole grand epic movie of all of the more than 8.2 billion souls on the planet, all of that, there's a grand epic movie going on. And that grand epic movie. There's a season of that grand epic movie. And the season is that anything can happen anytime. You might not be able to pay your rent or you might be able to pay your rent, whatever it is. Right. That's not the point. The point is the only thing that's going to be stable is the spiritual effort you made for yourself. That's the only thing that's going to be stable. Everything else is shifting. [00:19:55] Speaker A: Yeah. And that's why we need to learn these practices. Because otherwise if our whole well being is based on certain things being lined up the way we like them, we are on very unstable ground because things are changing, everything's shifting. The ground is moving. So instead of thinking I have to have it the way I like it all the time, it's better for us to say, I'm surrendering to whatever is the highest good for all, whatever it is. And I'm coming into a spiritual freedom because that's actually a safe place to live from, whereas everything else is unsafe. And this applies to some stock market and applies to course anything, actually. Businesses, companies, people, situations. It's all over the place. So let's get into the method that we can use how, how you can actually practically let go of these worries. Right, right. So the first thing is to notice that you're having a worry. Just because a lot of the time these worries are there, they're kind of floating around, they're at the back of our mind, we're feeling something. But just to actually pay attention to what exactly are you worried about? And just to sit there and go, okay, I'm actually worried. What am I worried about? And let the worries arise. You might even want to write them down. I'm worried about this happening. I'm worried about this happening. I'm worried about all these things so that it goes from being this background noise and background stress, background anxiety, to something that you're actually looking at, like, what exactly is it you're worried about? The second step is once you know what it is, this is a very, very deep thing, is we're handing our worries over to God. And when we have a worry, we're basically thinking, this is my problem, this is my issue. This is something that I'm personally dealing with. It's all me, me, me, me and my problems. And we're basically taking responsibility for our worries and thinking that we can control and we can solve it. And it's all up to us, and we're on our own fixing it. The big upgrade is to realize that God wants to help us and wants to take our worries away. And this is a simple thing to understand, but it's actually quite a profound thing to practice that we're changing mine. This is my problem into yours. This is now your problem, your issue. So we're transferring ownership of who owns the worry. This sounds easy to do, changing mine into yours, but actually doing it is actually profound shift in our attitude towards what we own, what we have, and, and who's in charge of things. So in, in my case with that rent situation, I basically said, I can't do anything else about this. I'm handing this worry over to you. If I'm supposed to have this house, that's fine. If I'm not supposed to have it, that's fine as well because I've given it up. I'm handing the worry over to you. Whatever's supposed to happen, I'm now placing it in your hands. In other different religions, they have different ways of saying this, right? There's different spiritual practices. Often people are told to like put their worries down at the feet of the guru or the feet of the deity or the feet of Christ or the feet of Buddha or whatever, right? You're putting it, you're putting the burden down. You're basically saying, I'm offering this up, I'm handing it over. And that is a deep, deep surrender actually to do that because we're saying, instead of saying I'm personally in charge of everything and I'm controlling it, I'm humbly realizing I can't control it and I'm handing it over. Do you want to talk about this a little bit, Shane? What's been your experience with doing that particular practice, that particular step? If you've had issues around things? [00:24:18] Speaker B: I was thinking about, yes, I have had issues. I was also thinking that that's what I call a million dollar problem. A million dollar problem is this is I go tell someone. So I come to you and let's say, brother Michael, I need to make a million dollars and you tell me, okay, let's take your million dollars and invest it with wisely and you can make a million dollars, right? And so we kind of are assuming that people already have the thing that we are asking them to do. That's what happened to me, that I was not able to let go. I wasn't able to surrender. I wasn't able to give and say, oh, this is yours. I wasn't able to do that. Or even if I was able to do that, 10 minutes later it came back, the worry came back, everything came back. Maybe 10 minutes, maybe 15 minutes, but it came back, right? And so there has to be a, what I found is there has to be a deeper trust. There has to be a deeper layer of trust. And that deeper layer of trust, for example, right, let's say a three year old child runs up and jumps on her father, father's lap, right? No one, no one gave this child a lecture on how to let go and jump on her lap and how to jump and do this, right? No one gave it a lecture. How is she able to do that? Because she has experience, she has experienced that she can do that and her dad will always catch Her. Right. That's the experience she has. And so that's what we need. That's what I needed. I needed some experience where I know that that problem is going to be okay. That's what I found out. And what I found is when I gave my problem, initially I was like, really? You're taking it and then doing what with it? Right. Then what I realized was that God does take the problem, and it's not like he'll solve it. But when I am clear, when I'm not so worried, then the problem comes back to me where I can actually do something about it. And I feel that's what it helped me with. Surrender and letting go is actually. It's beneficial for me. And little. Little experiences help me. [00:27:21] Speaker A: Yeah, we have to have it. Yeah, exactly. It's. It starts with a leap of faith. I mean, it just. It just does. And then you get a certain beneficial outcome. For me, the initial I remember with this situation with the rent, the peace I felt on the beach was so profound that that in itself was a gift without anything else changing. Just because I was like, I've gone from feeling extremely anxious to experiencing deep, deep peace and freedom. And so that by itself was like, massive upgrade. [00:27:54] Speaker B: Absolutely right. [00:27:57] Speaker A: So that. So that proves that it works just purely on an emotional level, on a spiritual level. But then when we see things actually do turn out fine again and again and again, or they might not turn out the way we want, but they turn out in another way. Like, I've had all kinds of situations in my life where I tried, tried, tried, tried, tried, and nothing's working at all. And then I finally just say, okay, I'm handing this over because it's not working. And it does feel like surrender. It's like, all right, I've just given up. I've run out of steam here. This is not happening. And so, I mean, ideally, we want to get there quicker and not have to, like, force our way through and then show that it doesn't work before we get there. But that's a different topic. But I have experienced many times where I say, I don't know what to do. I really don't know what to do about this. Nothing I can do. Everything I've tried didn't work. So I'm handing over to you. And then I feel relaxed and at peace. And then I get an idea, or an opportunity comes or something happens or I notice something, and then that resolves itself in a different way than I had thought of. And most of the time it isn't what I actually came up with, sometimes it is the same thing, but nearly always the way in which it gets resolved is something that is outside of my frame of reference. It's almost like this. This camera is capturing up to here right on the thing. You can't see my hand now. So there's off the frame stuff that we can't see. And all those, like, the amount of things that are off of our frame of reference is significantly larger, is infinitely huge compared to what we are aware of. And so most of the time, the way things work out is all off center. It's all like beyond the box, outside the box type of things. So we're saying. All I'm saying essentially is I don't know what to do anymore. But I know that there's loads of things going on that are far beyond my mind's capacity to understand them. And I'm surrendered that something's going to happen and there's no point me thinking about it anymore because it's not working. And so it's that humility to say, I've run out of options here. I'm handing over. And it's just, it's. It's almost like outsourcing it, you know, like many times I've worked within my business, I'm trying to do something myself again and again and again, getting really frustrated about it. And I finally give up and say, I can't do this. And I pay someone to fix it and they're like, yeah, it's all done. It's all done really quickly. And. And I think, why didn't I do that earlier? That was so annoying. So it's a bit like that. We've had enough. It doesn't work. I'm giving it up, you know, and walking away. [00:30:58] Speaker B: Congratulations. [00:30:59] Speaker A: All right. Whatever, right? [00:31:02] Speaker B: I'm saying congratulations. That is a really good place to be, right? To just be emotionally okay with whatever. [00:31:10] Speaker A: It's like, I can't do this if it's not supposed to. And it's almost like if it's not supposed to happen at all. Fair enough. I mean, yeah, [00:31:18] Speaker B: right. You know, one step, right after this. The first step you were sharing was to write down your worry. Second step you were sharing, give it to God. I feel one of the steps should [00:31:31] Speaker A: be [00:31:33] Speaker B: what is the certainty you're craving in this situation, right? You have to see what is this thing that you want be so certain about and tell yourself, you know, that particular outcome actually might not be the best for you. Whatever that certainty is, it might not be the Best for you. Right. If you don't look at it and really apply your understanding and awareness to that outcome, then you will always want that outcome. And the other thing is, I feel there has to be times when you knew that you didn't get the outcome you wanted and you were fine. And you have to remember those times because it's a muscle that needs to be built. The being okay with uncertainty is a muscle that needs to be built. And if in every time you were uncertain about something and it was fine, then you will be fine. You have to keep building that muscle. I feel that's one of the steps that needs to be there. [00:32:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that's an ongoing practice, isn't it? Because it's basically saying, I don't know what to do and I don't know what the best outcome is going to be. And I'm having the humility just to put it down. It's almost like we're carrying on. This is my list of things that I expect to happen. And I'm just saying, all right, I've had enough. I'm done. So you're the problem now. And. [00:33:12] Speaker B: Yeah, you know that. [00:33:13] Speaker A: And I'm open to whatever is going to be the highest good. And I'm open to be of service, you know, and I'm open to newness. And so it's. It's going from. I'm forcing it this way, and I want my list to. I open to whatever it is, then it could be completely different. And I don't mind. [00:33:32] Speaker B: One of the things I was also thinking was, in my life, there were times when outcome was not okay. Recently. Recently I was stuck in an airport. So I went to the airport after three hours of staying in the airport, they said the flight was canceled. And then I checked my bags in, all of that, right? And I was so wanting to come home. I was so wanting to come home. And I was really bummed out that, you know, I'm not going home because various things that were happening, I really wanted to come home. And what happened was, anyway, not just my flight, everyone's flight got canceled. And I couldn't get my bags out in time because they said five hours, you wait, you get your bags out. So I had to go back to the center. And the next available flight was two days later. Okay? I had to go back to the center without even a toothbrush, even a comb, right? My hair, no comb. Can you imagine? Anyway, I found toothbrushes, clothes, nothing. I had only a small little backpack, and that's it. And so I had to spend two days there without all of that. But the following day, the workshop that. Because I got stranded and I ended up, the center decided, oh, we'll make use of your time. Let's do another workshop. Another small little thing. And I had such beautiful experiences in that workshop, such beautiful experiences in that workshop. And I realized that, you know what? I don't know what's the highest good for me. If I just hung on to, oh, I need to go home, and I can't go home and this and that, I wouldn't have seen the hidden possibilities of whatever was going to happen. [00:35:42] Speaker A: Yeah. And often those things are much better because we're very limited in our perspective around things. You know, I want it like this, and I'm attached to these 10 things, and I have to have it like this. But there's millions and billions of alternative realities and possibilities that we could be experiencing which. Which could be far better. It's almost like there could be a life that would be infinitely better and more wealthy and more successful on every level. But I can't even see any of that stuff if I'm so attached to it. So this. So every time we say I'm surrendering, we're not just saying I'm giving up. We're saying I'm open to a bigger, better life in some way. I'm open to new opportunities. I'm open to new possibilities. I'm open to something different. And that's actually quite exciting if you think about it, because otherwise it's boring. And what I personally have been doing recently is I've been getting in my journal the morning, and I'm saying, I get it. And I'm like. I write down to God, what do you want me to do today? What's the highest good for all? And I'd sit there in silence for about five minutes, and I really try and just listen to it, tune into it. And then I write down. I'm writing down stuff on these pieces of paper that's not what I'd normally be doing during the day because I have my idea of why 10 things. I have to finish this and finish this and finish this and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm writing these things down there, like the house. This is not what I know. But it's. But it's actually quite exciting because it's open new, new things. Right. Instead of saying, it has to be the way I like it, the same thing again and again and again. So. So we're saying if I. If go from Mine, Me and my limited reality to yours, which is unlimited and massive powers, massive potential. It's. It's going from a small scale to a huge scale. And all kinds of fascinating things can happen. Okay? So everyone can think about something that you are worried about, something that's been bothering you, that's been stressing you out. Whatever it is, Just become aware of how it makes you feel. Think about the negative effect of worrying about it all the time. And notice the attachments or the certainty and the desires behind this. Like, what is it that you want to happen? What are you attached to? What is it that you think has to be a certain way, has to be like this, has to be like. Like that. That's. That's what's causing the worry. I want to have it my way. I want it to be the way I like it. I want to control it. So just bring all that into your awareness, whatever it. Is. And now imagine that there is a huge upgrade here. And God has all power. God has all, has a bigger reality, bigger awareness, understands secrets behind things, knows what's the highest good for us. And imagine you're taking this burden, this stress, this worry, and all these things that are causing you limitation and stress. You're taking it and you're handing it over, just like you would hand it outsourced to someone who's, who's more experienced. Give it to an expert, that kind of feeling that you're giving it to an expert to manage this and say, I don't know what to do about it. I'm handing it over. And just as you hand it over, really feel the relief of letting go to the expert and saying, you can deal with this, you can solve this problem for me. And really notice the sense of freedom and relaxation that comes from time to time. Totally letting that go. See if you can release resistance and genuinely hand it over from your heart. I don't know what the best thing is. I've given up. I've come to the end of the rope here. I'm handing it over. And just fully let it go. You might want to let it go again and again. And then just breathe in the peace that comes as you let go fully. And as you completely let go, just surrender to the highest good, to whatever's the highest good for you, for everyone else, whatever that is. You're open to some newness, something new. You don't know what it's going to be. You're not sure where it's going to go, what's going to happen, but you you know, it's going to be great. And you're open to that something different, something special, something beyond your awareness. And receive intoxication, receive spiritual good vibrations, spiritual intoxication in return. Because when we hand over the worry, then we get something back. We get peace, we get freedom, we get bigger experience. And you can do that again and again and again and again and again. So there it is. That's a wonderful practice. Yay. [00:42:05] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:42:05] Speaker A: Congratulations. And one last thing I'll mention is that you can get a God box. I think I mentioned this before. Some of my students mentioned this to me, like a little box. And you write down your worry and you say, I'm giving it to God. And you put it in the box and close the lid. And so that's your problem now. I'm not going to think about it. It's the ritual of putting it in the box is quite liberating because your hand, you're saying, this is God's problem now. And I'm open to do what I need to do. So if you do this, you'll feel lighter, you'll feel more happy, you'll feel more relaxed, you'll feel that deep, deep peace. And you'll be open to some new things that you weren't normally aware of that could be way, way better than anything you had in mind. Yay. So let's have a blessing to close this session. [00:43:00] Speaker B: This is God's blessing for you. Acceptance. You fully embrace who you are and are at ease with with it. Having let go of all pretenses, your true nature shines through this genuine self. Acceptance brings a sense of security and inner peace. Gifting others the freedom to be themselves. [00:43:30] Speaker A: Yay. Ah, yes. Thank you for being here, everybody. Appreciate you. Thank you, Shireen. [00:43:41] Speaker B: Thanks. [00:43:43] Speaker A: Enjoy letting go and see how it goes.
